Quartix in Top Ten again
Quartix Ltd, the vehicle tracking specialist based in Cambridge and Newtown, has announced its inclusion for the fourth consecutive year in the finals of the prestigious National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange.
One of only ten finalists in its category, the ‘Regus Small to Medium sized Business of the Year Award’, Quartix is proud of the sustained high achievement that sets it once again amongst some of the best performing and most creative companies of its size in the UK.
Entry to the ‘Regus Small to Medium sized Business of the Year’ category is open to organisations recording turnover of less than £10 million in the past financial year. The judges look for companies which have shown not just strong financial performance, but also significant growth and innovation in their market sector, and ethical awareness and responsibility in their business practices.
Quartix Managing Director, Andy Walters, said “We are delighted to have been selected as a finalist for this high profile award for a fourth year in a row. It is recognition of the excellence we consistently aim for at all levels in the company.”
Finalists in all 17 Award categories are invited to a Gala dinner and Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on 18th November. Hosted this year by Andrew Marr, the event is set to be a sparkling gathering of some the UK’s most successful business people.
Quartix has recorded consistently high annual growth rates since it was established in 2001, and has recently relocated within Newtown to more spacious premises to accommodate an expanding staff. Its internet-based vehicle tracking system is used by over 1,700 UK cross-sector companies, in more than 17,000 commercial vehicles. Customers range from major corporations interested in the efficient management of large delivery fleets, down to small owner-operated companies with as few as one or two vehicles.
Quartix’ latest model of the tracking terminal, the TCSV, is believed to be one of the most highly-integrated, compact and robust vehicle telematics systems available in Europe, and has helped the company consolidate its position as a top performer in the vehicle-tracking sector.
Sales and Marketing Director, Andy Kirk says, “We have worked hard to establish a reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction. We have a team
of dedicated staff based in Newtown, many of whom have been with us from
the early days of the company. We build good relations with the customer and deal with their enquiries and needs politely and promptly. The fact that over half our business last year came from referrals and repeat orders is testament to the professionalism of our staff, and they must take a great deal of the credit for us being finalists in our category of the National Business Awards every year since we first entered in 2005.”
