QUARTIX GAINS MAJOR INDUSTY HONOUR

Innovative Cambridgeshire business secures special prize at awards ceremony

Quartix, one of the UK’s leading vehicle tracking technology companies, has just secured a major award from one of the fleet industry’s most influential publications. The ground-breaking Cambridgeshire business was presented with the Editor’s Award at the 2005 Fleet World Honours ceremony in front of a packed-house at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall.

The awards were judged by a panel of experts representing the leasing industry, senior fleet managers and several influential motoring journalists. Quartix director Andy Walters commented:

“We’re delighted to have been recognised by one of the leading publications in our industry and to have also impressed an experienced panel of experts.

“Although vehicle tracking technology might sound complicated, the Quartix approach is remarkably straightforward. We help companies of all sizes and working in very nearly every business sector to know exactly where their vehicles are and demonstrate how they can manage them even more efficiently. And this is all provided through one easy to use web site.”

George Emmerson, one of the Fleet World judges, commended Quartix for offering a highly-distinctive and efficient service:

“It is extremely difficult for companies to differentiate themselves in very crowded marketplaces, but Quartix has done just that with a high-quality product and as well as several significant contract wins.”

Quartix, which has offices in Cambridge and Newtown (Powys), helps nearly 600 UK companies ranging from small businesses through to major corporations to maximise the efficiency of their vehicle operations.

Proven commercial benefits include: significantly lower fuel and vehicle running costs; faster and more responsive delivery times; better vehicle security as well as helping employers fulfil their ‘Duty to Care’ responsibilities.

The Quartix system provides users with a rapid, efficient ‘point-and-click’ source of real-time information (via a secure website, www.quartix.net) as well as an accurate, jargon-free email reporting system. The highly-flexible system has the capacity to meet the demands of experienced fleet professionals through to owner-managers of small businesses simply needing fast and reliable information.
